Province expands flood recovery program to include additional hard-hit communities
[]
Steinbach News
The Manitoba government is expanding eligibility under the one-time Manitoba Flood Recovery Program (MFRP) to provide additional support to residents in communities severely impacted by flooding from a series of major rainfall events in June.
In response to the heavy rainfall events, the Manitoba government launched three Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) programs, one for each major flood event, as well as the one-time MFRP.
The MFRP was created to assist homeowners and tenants in particularly hard-hit areas who may not have qualified for DFA if flood insurance was available for their property.
