Olympic champion Julien Alfred and world champion Melissa Jefferson-Wooden will resume their rivalry in the women’s 100m at the Zurich leg of the Wanda Diamond League on August 27. St. Lucia’s Alfred and the USA’s Jefferson-Wooden have been the two fastest female sprinters in the world in recent years, sweeping up almost every major global title since 2024. Zurich is the 14th leg of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, which began in Shanghai/Keqiao on May 16 and ends at the two-day series final in Brussels on September 4-5.
