“Luckily, because I am little bit more headstrong, I called Stroud Maternity and I went and stayed there that first night.
“We are mothers, we are campaigners – we are campaigning about maternity services and to give these babies the best start in life.
Cllr Hall-Wilson said: “I’ve been campaigning on maternity services in the county because it is something that I am passionate about.
“We also visited Stroud Maternity Hospital, a midwife-led unit and community maternity hub, which has strong local community support.
"It remains a key part of our maternity services and of the Community Transformation Programme developed over the past year.
