Leyland Trucks has been awarded Gold status in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) for its outstanding support of the Armed Forces community. Phil Jones, managing director of Leyland Trucks, said: "Supporting the Armed Forces community isn’t something we do to win awards. The company has also created an internal military network for cadets, veterans, reservists and military families. Mr Jones said: "As we celebrate 130 years of truck manufacturing, we're incredibly proud of our long-standing connection with the Armed Forces community. Beyond its own workforce, Leyland Trucks collaborates with military organisations, colleges and cadet groups, hosting reservist recruitment events, site visits and careers activities.
