Clive Turner, 67, of South Terrace, appeared before Preston Crown Court charged with five counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 14 and two counts of gross indecency with a girl under 14. The charges relate to a period between 1983 and 1989 and are alleged to have occurred in Bury. Turner denied all counts and will go to trial on December 13, 2027, which is expected to last five days. A pre-trial review has been set for October 18, 2027, and the defendant has been granted conditional bail.
