Stonebridge Mill, known locally as the Blue Warehouse, has been hit by repeated safety concerns in recent weeks, with the latest fire at the site taking place last week. However, Conservative councillor Steven Smithson, who represents Immanuel, has confirmed that after discussions with the site owner, the sale of the warehouse was formally agreed on Friday, July 24. Cllr Smithson said: “I know many residents have been concerned about the ongoing issues at the Blue Warehouse. “Following ongoing discussions with the site owner over the past week, I can confirm that terms for the sale of the Blue Warehouse were formally agreed last Friday. Immediate measures are also being introduced to improve security, including temporary CCTV cameras, which were installed yesterday, July 28.
