Ten-year-old Jake Bond, a pupil at Clitheroe St James Primary School, won the Lancashire Young Hero award at the Lancashire Education and Learning Awards after being nominated by teacher Lisa Barnes.

In the speech, when Jake was given his award, he was described as an "extraordinary young person" who has "remained positive through every challenge".
