Jammu and Kashmir’s PMSBY enrolments stood at 31,70,291, including 19,54,677 male, 11,81,659 female and 33,955 under ‘Others’. Jammu and Kashmir’s 24.79 lakh PMJDY accounts represent about 0.42 per cent of the national total, while its 13.72 lakh PMJJBY enrolments and 31.70 lakh PMSBY enrolments account for around 0.49 per cent and 0.54 per cent, respectively, of the corresponding all-India totals. Of these, 1.54 lakh loans worth Rs 22,913 crore had been sanctioned under the Tarun Plus category. Category-wise, 9.56 crore loans worth Rs 3.97 lakh crore went to Scheduled Caste borrowers, 3.23 crore loans worth Rs 1.48 lakh crore to Scheduled Tribe borrowers and 16.27 crore loans worth Rs 8.27 lakh crore to Other Backward Class borrowers. The remaining 30.08 crore loans, amounting to Rs 27.05 lakh crore, were extended to borrowers outside these categories.
