Hjaltland Housing Association is seeking a contractor to build six houses, as part of its North Staneyhill scheme in Lerwick, at an estimated total cost of £2.2m. The first phase of housing also had to be retendered due to growing costs. DITT Construction Ltd was appointed as the main contractor for that phase of housing, with construction estimated to take around 27 months. Mr Leask said the homes in the next phase of the development would be slightly larger than those in the first phase.
