The discussion topic of 'Building the Rural Workforce – From Education to Employment' gave professionals in education, rural employment and career support the chance to have their say.
This year, he received funding from Perth and Kinross Council's Skills and Employment Support Team to support the wages and training costs of an apprentice.
Among the support available is the Rural Skills Training and Mentoring Programme, which is open to rural small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in sectors such as agriculture, land management, forestry and other rural industries.
