A crew from North Walsham were able to ensure it did not spread and extinguished the flames. A spokesman for Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said: "Please think about what you are putting into public bins, particularly in the current heat. "In fact, this one is a double no-no as in the current heat we should all be choosing picnics instead of barbecues. "While you’re looking after yourself, make sure you’re also looking after others by helping to keep Norfolk safe from fire." Earlier this month, Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service revealed it has battled more than 200 fires in the open so far in July.
