London Road Pre-School in Dereham closed permanently on July 17 after supporting generations of families since 1968. There were 16 children enrolled for the next term and Norfolk County Council is trying to support those families and others who have young children in the area. Cllr Wendy Atkinson, cabinet member for children, families and SEND at Norfolk County Council, said: "It is always sad when a pre-school closes, particularly such a long-running one like London Road. "There are lots of alternative places for pre-school children in the area. "Any parents that need help finding childcare can contact our Family Information Service on 0344 800 8020.”
