Officers received reports on Friday about the bikes being ridden “illegally and dangerously on public roads”. A spokesperson for Police Scotland said that it not only endangered the public but also those riding the bikes. “The streets of East Lothian are public spaces and these bikes are not road legal. “Please call 101 if you have any information or wish to report these bikes being ridden in a dangerous manner in public spaces. “We will be seizing bikes that are used illegally wherever possible.”
