East Lothian Council made the decision last year to close and mothball Brunton Hall after reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) was discovered, with repair costs deemed unaffordable.
The council’s customer services and community housing teams will now operate from 141 High Street, the former Citizens Advice Bureau office, with the new site opening at 11am on Thursday, August 27.
"Many people will be very sad to see the Brunton Hall, which has played such a key role at the heart of Musselburgh since 1971, close its doors.
The new office will be open Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am to 5pm, Wednesdays from 10am to 5pm, and Fridays 9am-4pm.
The council is now exploring affordable options to replace the Brunton Hall and ensure that arts and cultural activities can continue in the town.
