The father of one of the Idaho murders victims said he would welcome a retrial after Bryan Kohberger requested one, saying the quadruple murderer would certainly face the death penalty. Steve Goncalves, the father of Kaylee, told NewsNation that he wants a 'second shot at the accused murderer.' In a statement to The New York Times, Kohberger announced his plan to 'withdraw' his plea and enter a new not guilty one. However, Goncalves said he can tell Kohberger exactly what would happen to him if he were given the life of a normal prisoner, he told NewsNation. When Kohberger pleaded guilty, he did not have to provide a motive for the murders.
