According to documents now submitted to Westminster Council, there is 'significant structural movement', 'water ingress from roof level', 'rising damp at lower levels', 'deterioration of roof covering' and 'previous unsympathetic alterations'. He has been given the green light by council planners for some of the renovations replacing or repairing issues like-for-like. A report drafted by his architects supported the application, stating these were necessary repairs rather than wholesale changes to the historic building.
