Sir Keir Starmer's 'pebble-dash semi' childhood home has sold within weeks despite its hefty price tag and a stagnating property market.
Sir Keir has often spoken of coming from working class roots as the son of a nurse and a toolmaker, though Oxted has been rated one of the UK's most desirable towns.

Unlike the days of when Sir Keir was a child, the immediate vicinity boasts gentrified touches such as a Waitrose supermarket, a cinema chain Everyman venue, a theatre and independent boutiques.
Sir Keir, who won a Labour landslide general election victory in July 2024, announced earlier this month he would be resigning as PM following local poll losses and criticism from fellow party MPs.
