Following several days of discussion that saw countless arguments presented and old contenders return to the forefront, UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee has announced its complete list of new World Heritage sites. The announcement follows the latest committee meeting between 19 and 29 July in Busan, the Republic of Korea. The latest additions have expanded the UNESCO World Heritage Site’s list to 1,248 cultural, natural and mixed properties across 170 countries.
