Following enquiries by The Leader, Transport for Wales (TfW) confirmed it instructed contractors to install the double yellow lines as part of wider parking management improvements at Buckley railway station.

“Having said that, if there has been no involvement of the local authority and the TRO (Traffic Regulation Order) has not been consulted upon etc there is likely no legal status of the double yellow lines anyway, but I will try to confirm this.”
This includes refreshing bay markings, introducing double yellow lines, and upgrading signage to reinforce that the facility is strictly for railway users.
Responding to further questions from The Leader, a TfW spokesperson said the double yellow lines are legally enforceable and are enforced by its parking contractor, APCOA.
