Sixteen projects have secured a combined $141,897 in funding, supporting initiatives ranging from community transport and heritage preservation to arts programs, sustainability upgrades and emergency preparedness. Among the successful projects is the Strathbogie Community Bus Pilot Program, which received $10,000 to trial a weekly return bus service between Strathbogie and Euroa. Strathbogie Shire Mayor Scott Jeffery said the grants recognised the important role community groups played in creating vibrant and connected towns. "This year's successful projects reflect the diversity of our communities. The Community Strengthening and Sustainability Grants program provides funding to projects that strengthen community connections, improve local facilities, support environmental sustainability and enhance the livability of towns across Strathbogie Shire.
