As I talked about recently on the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast, I was an OG fan of the Digimon franchise. While reviews are one thing, player numbers are another, and the Steam numbers for the game are rather surprising. SteamDB tracks the player counts for games on the service, and currently, the peak for Digimon Story Time Stranger is nearly 71,000 players. Granted, the other franchises likely had bigger sales on console, but the high numbers on Steam could point to a similar thing happening with Digimon. The Steam store page for the game also has over 1000 reviews, with them showing off a “Very Positive” rating.
