Ukwaja, who hails from Umegunpa in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, was said to be driving for Agbasi City Mass Transit Nigeria Limited when the incident occurred. According to the police, the driver had picked up passengers in Onitsha for a trip to Lagos earlier this month. The passenger, who was seated in the front right seat of the bus, reportedly died on the spot, while several other passengers suffered varying degrees of injuries.
