After the Detroit Lions signed Troy Reeder on Monday, the training camp battle for the final few roster spots on the defensive side of the ball got significantly more complicated. The Lions had to make room on the roster right away, and on Tuesday, they made a surprise announcement. Detroit likely has only three interior defensive linemen whose spots on the roster are guaranteed: McNeill, Williams, and Onwuzurike. The Lions could also bring more bodies throughout the training camp to keep the competition alive. Last season, Detroit had Wingo, Smith, and Williams on their 53-man roster, as well as Roy Lopez, DJ Reader, and Pat O'Connor.
