Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Police's Cyber crime wing has registered a case against right-wing political commentator T G Mohandas over remarks he made in a YouTube video about the students' protest in Delhi.
The FIR invokes Sections 192 and 353(1)(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Section 66 of the Information Technology Act and Section 120(o) of the Kerala Police Act.
The video was posted on his YouTube channel Pathrika on Sunday.
In a 30-minute video, Mohandas speaks at length about how he would have tackled the student protests by the CJP and other major Opposition outfits against the NEET exam irregularities.
In another video posted later, Mohandas says that “Police should be withdrawn from the area, and it should be left to the protesters.
