The Lowther athlete was in action in Glasgow in Tuesday evening's athletics programme. Simpson-Sullivan, 25, produced a best throw of 62.94m in the final at the Scotstoun Stadium. That saw her claim a top-ten finish in an event won by Canada's Camryn Rogers. The Canadian set a Games record with her best throw of 74.91m as she took gold, with New Zealand's Lauren Bruce taking silver and Australia's Lara Roberts claiming bronze. Simpson-Sullivan's fellow Team England athlete Charlotte Payne was fourth.
