Cumberland Council has announced the planned closure of How Mill level crossing to all traffic, including pedestrians and cyclists. The scheduled closure affects a 30-metre stretch on either side of the crossing. The temporary prohibition is set to be in place from 11.50pm to 8.45am on August 1. Alternative routes for vehicles will be clearly marked, directing traffic through Faugh, Heads Nook, and Fenton, amongst other locations.
