Michael Austin, of High Cliff, was jailed for more than eight years at Preston Crown Court after pleading guilty to three separate offences dating between 2023 and 2026. The court heard the woman took an online beauty course to learn how to cover up her injuries. Prosecutor Sophie Shooter detailed: "They were formerly in a long-term relationship and have four children together. She added: "He knows that he will be facing immediate custody and that this is a result of his actions. "This was a toxic relationship - Mr Austin believes that they both deserved better, especially the four children involved."
