WVDNR completed over $1.2 million in infrastructure upgrades at Plum Orchard Lake

Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia Division of Resources has completed more than $1.2 million dollars in infrastructure upgrades at Plum Orchard Lake.
There is a new WMA headquarters, along with new docks at the dam and the lake’s upper end.
Crews also resurfaced the fishing pier, cleared brush, improved parking lot lighting, and put up new signage.
DNR Director Brett McMillion said the upgrades are part of his department’s commitment to fishers and hunters.
He said in part, quote, “Plum Orchard Lake is a vital asset for Fayette County, and by investing in this infrastructure, we are ensuring that future generations will be able to enjoy this area for years to come.”
