On Friday, mean temperatures above 29 degrees are forecast for Komárom-Esztergom, Fejér and Bács-Kiskun counties. In Nógrád, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg counties the mean temperature will exceed 25 degrees, and elsewhere it will exceed 27 degrees. It is especially important that children and pets are not left in parked vehicles, as the interior can heat up to life-threatening temperatures within minutes. A list of air-conditioned premises available to the general public can be found on the website of the National Directorate General for Disaster Management. Up-to-date information on heat alerts is also available through the VÉSZ app, a free-to-download application operated by the National Directorate General for Disaster Management.
