According to Péter Magyar, Europe's strongest anti-corruption institution could be established with the National Asset Recovery and Asset Protection Office. On Tuesday, the National Assembly adopted the law on the establishment of the National Asset Recovery and Asset Protection Office (NVVH) by 143 votes in favour and 47 against. The time has come for a real purge to begin, for substantive work to get under way, and for Europe’s strongest anti-corruption institution to finally be established. The president and four vice-presidents of the National Asset Recovery and Asset Protection Authority must be elected within thirty days. The National Asset Recovery and Asset Protection Office will be one of the most important guardians of this work.
