Vets see surge in dog injuries blamed on ‘no‑mow’ grass verges

She said the grass verges hadn't been cut all year.
"A lot of local residents don't want their roads looking scruffy and unkempt.
He said: "Every year since the council have stopped cutting the grass we are having grass seeds removed.
"The vet told me they had a dog in last week and they removed 52 grass seeds.
BCP Council said it was sorry dogs had been injured but was trying to balance the needs of residents and nature.
