“Steve is South African, the technology started originally to track endangered animals because they have a huge problem with that over there.
“Once we understood the technology could do precise positioning, we were talking about what products we could build and what we could do with it.
“The product has much higher accuracy than any GPS product in an outdoors environment.
“The tracker gives parents all of the safety aspects of a smartphone, without all the risks of the downsides,” Michael added.
If FindiFox secure funding to bring their tracker to market, they will also employ five more people.
