Nearly 50 MPs back Poole campaign against proposed immigration changes

Bournemouth Echo | News
Neil Duncan-Jordan MP said 49 MPs have now supported his Early Day Motion opposing the plans, which he argues could unfairly impact people who have built their lives in the UK under existing immigration rules.
He said: "People who came here under one set of rules and built their lives around them should not see those promises changed."
The MP acknowledged there has been discussion within Government about potential exemptions for certain groups, including key workers.
The campaign calls on the Government to honour existing expectations for those already on a path to settlement.
Mr Duncan-Jordan is urging members of the public to contact their MPs and ask them to support the motion.
