Alabama Power has elected Alabama business leaders Tom Hand and Mike Kemp Sr. to the company’s board of directors. “We are pleased to welcome Tom and Mike to our board and appreciate their willingness to serve,” Alabama Power Chairman, President and CEO Jeff Peoples said. Kemp also received the 2025 CEO Award and is a graduate of Leadership Birmingham and Leadership Alabama. He is also a leader with several professional organizations, including the Business Council of Alabama, the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama, United Way of Central Alabama and Leadership Alabama. Alabama Power said adding Hand and Kemp to its board reflects the company’s continued commitment to creating value for its customers, communities and shareholders.
