State Senate Minority Leader Bobby Singleton (D-Greensboro) believes he is the right person to lead his party in the Yellowhammer State. In a press release, Singleton announced that he’s running for Alabama Democratic Party Chairman at the party’s reorganization meeting on Aug. 8. The state lawmaker has represented his district since 2005, and has been the Minority Leader since 2018. Singleton will face off against the current Democratic Party Chairman Randy Kelley who is running for reelection. Despite some of the challenges, the minority leader thinks this will be a good year for Democrats across Alabama.
