Delhi Police has filed an FIR over “objectionable and defamatory” social media posts targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sources told The Indian Express the posts were made during Cockroach Janta Party protests at Jantar Mantar.
On Sunday, The Indian Express reported that the Delhi Police has started asking social media platforms to take down such content.
According to sources, in one of the notices sent to a social media platform, the Delhi Police said the circulation of such “objectionable and defamatory content has caused serious harm to the PM’s reputation, dignity and public image”.
