Taraba under siege: Bandits kill 5, Kidnap monarch, displace hundreds in Lau communities

Fresh attacks by suspected bandits have thrown several communities in Lau Local Government Area of Taraba State into panic, leaving at least five people dead, several others injured, and hundreds of residents displaced.
Communities worst hit by the attacks include Kunini, Jimlari, Garin-Magaji, Donnada and Garin-Dogo, where residents now live in fear amid growing insecurity.
A visit to Lau showed that hundreds of residents, particularly members of the Fulani community, have fled their homes to escape the attacks.
Most of the victims are currently being sheltered at the residence of the Legislative Leader of the Lau Local Government Council, Hon.
