Long Island Jewish (LIJ) Forest Hills Hospital, a Northwell Health facility, named Christopher Calandrella, DO, as its senior vice president and chief medical officer on Monday, July 27. Calandrella has helped strengthen one of the hospital’s most critical departments and fostered a culture of innovation and teamwork,” said Lorraine Chambers Lewis, President of LIJ Forest Hills Hospital. “I’m honored to serve as senior vice president and chief medical officer of Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital,” Calandrella said. Calandrella received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency at St. Barnabas Hospital. He holds board certifications in both internal and emergency medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine.
