The Citywide Monuments Conservation Program (CMCP) returned to Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens Tuesday morning to care for and preserve some of the park’s historic monuments, many of which have been in place since the 1964-65 World’s Fair.
When he first saw Flushing Meadows, Komorowski said he was amazed by the design of the park and its Parisian influences.
That is why she feels parks like Flushing Meadows are so important to NYC residents.
Galbraith said if it weren’t for the internship program, she might have never visited Flushing Meadows or other iconic parts of the city.
