According to a statement released by CENTCOM, the new unit, Task Force Talon Synapse, is scheduled to be officially launched in the coming weeks. Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, the task force will include approximately 20 American and Emirati specialists in artificial intelligence, data analytics, and cybersecurity. He said the initiative is intended to accelerate the integration of cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies into both U.S. and Emirati military capabilities. The statement noted that the concept of establishing the task force was first discussed last year during a meeting between Admiral Cooper and H.H. CENTCOM’s most recent visit to the region also included meetings with Emirati defense officials and leaders from the artificial intelligence sector to finalize the initiative.
