tastytrade has launched Prediction Markets, giving retail customers access to CFTC-regulated event contracts through the same brokerage platform they use to trade stocks, options and futures. The launch makes tastytrade the first brokerage to use Apex Fintech Solutions’ turnkey futures commission merchant infrastructure for regulated prediction markets. That model lowers the cost and technical burden of adding prediction markets to an established brokerage platform. Prediction markets have traditionally operated through specialized venues such as Kalshi and ForecastEx. tastytrade’s launch shows that prediction markets are moving beyond specialist forecasting platforms and becoming another derivatives product offered through established financial infrastructure.
