Jim Goodwin is adamant Emmanuel Agyei will be a pivotal player for Dundee United in the coming campaign despite a sluggish start to the season. He won his first full cap for the Black Stars against Mexico in May but narrowly missed out on a place in Carlos Quieroz’ World Cup squad. Goodwin reckons Agyei is not alone in needing a little more match sharpness and has no doubt that will come. “He was away with Ghana prior to the World Cup and came very close to getting into their World Cup squad. So much so, he got into that Ghana preliminary World Cup group.
