The Trump administration said it would not renew the trade pact for a 16-year term ahead of the July 1 deadline, triggering annual reviews that could see parts of the deal renegotiated. Trump has already imposed new tariffs on Canada as he renewed the trade wars that were central to his economic agenda when he returned to the White House.
