Suffolk businessman buys stake in award-winning spirits company

Non-practising barrister Kevin Withane - co-founder of Sudbury-based consultancy Impact Lawyers - has acquired a majority stake in Grounds for Good for an undisclosed sum.
The Welsh firm produces a range of award-winning botanical spirits using upcycled coffee grounds.
Grounds for Good collects used coffee grounds from businesses across South Wales and distils them into gins, vodka, and Aperoffi, a Welsh apéritif.

Mr Withane’s business, Impact Lawyers, is based in Sudbury and provides commercial strategy, acquisitions, and investment structuring support to growing companies and founders.
