The analysis of Police UK data for the Halesworth neighbourhood – covering Halesworth, Bramfield, Wenhaston, Holton, Chediston, Linstead, and surrounding villages – shows 819 crimes were recorded from June 2025 to May 2026, of which 322 were violent offences.
Mount Pleasant, a residential road in Halesworth, tops the list with 23 crimes, including eight violent offences, five counts of criminal damage and arson, and three drug offences.
The Hill, in the village of Bramfield just south of Halesworth, had 21 crimes and is the most violent street proportionally, with 12 of its 21 offences classed as violent crime.
Bridge Street, in Halesworth town centre, recorded 20 crimes spread across categories, including six violent offences, three vehicle crimes, and three public order offences.
Violent crimes include offences ranging from harassment and common assault to more serious crimes such as grievous bodily harm and murder.
