HYDERABAD: A 70-year-old man went missing after falling into an open nala during ongoing pipeline repair works at the Vyshalinagar railway underpass in Miyapur on Tuesday evening.
Officials confirmed, the repair work was taken up by Cyberabad Muncipal Corporation, highlighting their part of negligence causing death of a septuagenarian.
He allegedly slipped into the pipeline opening at the repair site, which had been barricaded as a restricted work area.
The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation had taken up Manjeera pipeline repair works at the open nala around 12 days ago.
Another local questioned why authorities had undertaken major repair works during the peak monsoon season when heavy rains were already expected.
