Based on the initial investigation, the elderly man went up a mountain earlier that day with a 43-year-old companion. However, the elderly victim was left behind during the confusion and was unable to return. Several hours later, another man went back to the area to look for the senior citizen. The elderly man had visible bee stings on various parts of his body.
