Oyo State govt receives two surveillance aircraft

The Oyo State Government has accepted the delivery of two long-awaited security surveillance aircraft.
The aircraft, which arrived at Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport on Tuesday, are expected to strengthen aerial surveillance, intelligence gathering, and rapid security response across Oyo State and neighbouring areas.
The aircraft arrived months after Governor Seyi Makinde unveiled plans to acquire advanced aerial surveillance systems, bolstering ongoing efforts to combat kidnapping, banditry, and other crimes.
Backstory…The acquisition of the surveillance aircraft marks a significant step in efforts by the Oyo State government efforts to strengthen its security architecture amid rising concerns over kidnapping, banditry and other violent crimes across parts of the South-West.
The latest addition is expected to enhance aerial surveillance, intelligence gathering and rapid response to security threats.
