The weeklong academies introduced students to career opportunities in the rapidly evolving energy industry while strengthening their leadership, teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills. Throughout the program, students worked alongside engineers, scientists and technical professionals from Exelon and its operating companies. The Exelon Foundation STEM Academies seek to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers and energy professionals by providing students with meaningful exposure to STEM careers. The program also helps students develop skills that can support their success in college, technical training programs and the workforce. Through programs such as the STEM Academies, the Exelon Foundation is working to expand access to STEM education and encourage more young people to consider careers that will shape the future of energy and sustainability.
