The affected section is a 65-metre stretch of Devonshire Road, Barrow-in-Furness, starting from its junction with the U6150 and running south-west. The planned closure, which applies to all vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists, is set to take effect from August 3. Westmorland and Furness Council have said that they expect the scheduled closure to be in place for three weeks, with the restriction enforced only when signs are displayed. Traffic will be diverted via the unrestricted section of Devonshire Road, Walney Road (A590), U6304, Park Road, Schneider Road, and the U6150. Further details are available through Westmorland and Furness Council’s Highways Hotline (0300 373 3306) or via the council website.
